Blues Beatles

Det er lykkedes at få den brasilianske sensation tilbage på en ugelang turne’ rundt i Skandinavien i midten af juni måned.

Bandet gæstede første gang Danmark i 2018, hvor de til udsolgte koncerter lagde publikum ned med stor begejstring. Senest i 2019 gentog de succesen på festivalerne Blues Heaven i Arena Nord og Blues Paradise i Arena Næstved.

B.B. blev grundlagt i 2013 i São Paulo. De har taget verden med storm med deres unikke blanding af to af musikhistoriens store genrer: Blues og Beatles-numre.
Med over 300.000 følgere på Facebook, og mere end 20.000.000 (20 millioner) visninger af deres videoer på YouTube er Blues Beatles uden tvivl Brasiliens mest populære bluesrock band.
I 2016 lancerede de deres videoer på Facebook, og succesen var overvældende, deres fortolkning af »A Hard Day’s Night« nåede en million visninger på kun en uge.

The Blues Beatles’ kombinerer de bedste elementer fra bluesmusikken med klassiske Beatles-numre og skaber en uimodståelig musikalske stil, der begejstrer lyttere i alle aldre.
Siden 2017 er det blevet til 14 internationale turnerer (8 på de største festivaler i USA, Mexico og Canada, 4 i Danmark, samt to i Norge).

Første gang de fem fremragende musikere spillede udenfor Sydamerika var i Danmark i 2018, hvor de efterlod publikum med stor positiv overraskende begejstring på samtlige spillesteder. Siden da er hovedparten af bandets tid blevet brugt i USA, hvor de i 2020 trak ekstraordinære overskrifter for deres dynamiske optræden på Big Blues Bender festivalen i Las Vegas. De er i år atter booked til The Big Bender festival.

Blues Beatles besøger Europa for 5 gang hvor selv de største Beatles-fans må overgive sig til det sprudlende, hårdt arbejdende band.
Musik-fans vil blive overraskede over, hvor meget blues, der kan lægges ind i de gamle Beatles-sange. Musikerne har dyb respekt for de originale sange, der er ikke tale om kopier, men om fortolkninger – alt i blåt.

Forsangeren Marco Viana sad altid og sang Beatles-sange på øveaftener, og da de øvrige faldt ind, gik det pludselig op for dem, at Lennon og McCartneys sange var ganske magiske i bluesudgaver. Arrangementerne kombinerer blues- og soulgrooves, der passer til forsangerens vokal, samtidig med at de tilføjer en ekstra følelse af friskhed.
Instrumentale soloer og improvisation,som er typiske elementer i blues, er en integreret del af Blues Beatles-stilen. Deres blændende liveoptrædener viser deres individuelle og kollektive færdigheder som solister.

Blues Beatles spiller på et højt musikalsk niveau. De sympatiske og udadvendte musikere, lægger hele deres sjæl i musikken og kan stå inde for hver eneste tone i deres show. Spilleglæden stråler ud af dem, så begejstringen smitter af på publikum.

The Blues Beatles is that band that you need to know! After the release of the acclaimed debut CD,
Get Back to The Blues, and nine international tours (in North America and Europe), the band released and promoted their second CD, Let It Blues, recorded in 2019 at AS Studios, Brazil.

For this CD, singer Marcos Viana, keyboard player Flavio Naves, bassist Bruno Falcao and drummer Fred Barley joined forces with Fred Sunwalk on guitar and again Denilson Martins on saxophone, and the result could not have been better! Explosive and intense new renditions come on classics like Drive my Car, Come Together; the blues lives on tracks like Let it Be, Yer Blues, Chains, Can’t buy me Love, One after 909 and Love Me Do; Something and Oh Darling bring that calm yet intense vibe that Blues Beatles is known for…

They invited their favorite saxophone, Denilson “Big D” Martins, to record several tracks to achieve the sound they were looking for. Later the band invited him to join them on tours. In December 2016, they started to promote their videos internationally on Facebook, and their instant success was overwhelming. Their rendition of A Hard Day’s Night reached one million views in only one week.

Most of the vocal melodies are kept in their original form, but interpreted with Marcos Viana’s unique voice in an unpretentious and heartfelt way. The arrangements combine blues and soul grooves that suit the vocals of the songs while adding a different feel to them. Instrumental solos and improvisation, typical elements of the blues, are an integral part of the Blues Beatles style.

Their fiery live performances showcase their individual and collective skills as soloists, so they decided to register the full energy of the performances and released a digital CD, Live in Texas, recorded at The Woodlands, TX on their 2019 USA tour, with the high acclaimed guitarist Igor Prado, one of the most known Brazilian blues’ musicians. Ticket To Ride was the first version of the Beatles’ songs that caught people’s attention. The video now has more than two million views on Facebook. The band has worked and reworked many different songs since it was formed, but only the ones that sound natural to their ears stay in the repertoire.
